What you have written is true, and quite familiar. Seems as if I read this previously. Maybe in a sermon spoken on teevee? Is it biblical? Anyway, thanks for posting it.

This poem, Let he Sunshine In, sends out the message that life can only be made better with the right attitude and the projection of the same outward. Nice.

It doesn't cost a thing to share a smile - but the rewards are great. It can brighten someone else's rainy day. And add to your own joy during times of strife. Thanks for reminding us.

Hi, Jay.

I like that your poems are almost always filled with positivity. It says a lot that you remain upbeat when many of us are falling into gloom or even despair abut the state of the world.

keep writing the sunshine!

You are so right - every little gesture and kind word helps, and such things as you suggest are very easy to put into practice. Thank you for sharing your wisdom through your words.

What a lovely sentiment jaybird1. And so wonderfully put.

I like your last two sentences the best! What you put out, you get back.
Thanks so much for putting a smile on my face today!
Love,

Nice simple sonnet. I like the rhyming and flow of it. I can relate as I am not a morning person. A smile is the last thing I want to do. But you are right; if somehow I could manage a smile, it really does make me feel better(and those around me). Give me coffee first!
There are enough terrible things in this world to worry about. When I get down, I stop myself and start thinking about things I am grateful for. So your poem is great inspiration for me, I hope to smile more tomorrow.

What a beautiful poem. A smile is worth a lot. It makes people easy to approach others or to be approached.

Neighbors are the best if people can develop good relationship.

Jaybird,
Yes, we all love the sunshine but, just as much and sometimes more, we also need the rain. Life is a balance and gives us both for good reasons. Sharing a tear with someone in distress might be the most complete way of showing your empathy and understanding.
A smile and sunshine in your heart is pretty much a guarantee to brighten up your day, even when dark clouds are looming. Sending sunbeams to you.
