I believe you're right. It takes a special person or a special attitude to deal with those last days of a person's life. It's not an easy time for anyone. The fear of the unknown is with everyone. Once we're born we all know we're going to die, and most of us fear it. Ulla:)))

First of all, I admire people like you who have such a strong heart for humanity. Having a hospice heart as you described it, is a blessing from God and a blessing to patients and families you serve. I know there have been many families that thanked God for you and your gentle understanding. As you move forward, this will be a very interesting book.
I have one suggestion. Use "Advanced Editor," to increase your font size. You can also use "Bold" print. It makes it much easier for older eyes to read your posts. Best wishes with your writing.

I work full time as an LPN in a nursing home and have worked with hospice over the years many times. I am a big fan of hospice, the staff is just lovely and very helpful. Sorry to read you received an injury, hope you are improving and looking forward to reading more about your experiences as a hospice nurse.
