Hello Sugarray77 a good day to you. I hope all is well. I enjoyed your poem and the style/format you chose. Great execution of your chosen format and great visuals painted by your words. Good job and good luck.

The picture is lovely and so are your words describing the scene at the break of dawn. How nature finally awakens from a night of rest. You painted a lovely picture with words as well, Melissa. Nancy:)

I like this Spanish Quitilla poem. It's so beautifully written as usual. You described the art piece well. I like the variable rhyming pattern for each stanza. I even spotted one internal rhyming.

Exceptionally done and good luck.

I didn't know about the class. I was in Italy for three and half weeks so I have been busy planning and traveling. We will be in Los Angeles next week to visit our son. I really love Italy and wrote a free verse.

Your poems are always incredibly visual. Besides you always choose the perfect photo. As I think I've told you before, when I read you, I can see what you are describing. That means you're a good writer.
Good luck in the contest.

Nicely done, Melissa. That rhyme scheme is interesting. I like it. The picture is great. That first stanza really stands out among the others. It could be a poem in itself.

You win. Where have you been. Daylight is more my favorite. Its hue are softer on the eyes since it edges forth quietly. Dusk is different. It has a glare to it and you need a visor to see the horizon until its crown goes beyond the horizon and that is when magic happens.

Thank you so very much Tom. Your words are so encouraging and I agree that sunset can be blazing, but deep twilight seems so soft to me. Thanks again.

love this form of poetry and love the images of a lake at the dawn in the springtime with all the springtime life coming alive after a long and dark winter.

This is a great rhyming poem. One you should be proud of for a lifetime. I enjoyed reading your poem, and the picture fits perfectly. Nature is waiting for another day to follow the same routine. Thank you for sharing your great story.

Wow! This is such a gorgeous poem and I'm sorry to not be able to give it a six! I always love your word paintings from nature. You took us from dawn to dusk with the shifting colors and different sights and sounds in each phase of the day. The rhythm is perfect and the changing rhyme scheme was noticed but doesn't distract. Loved the assonance and consonance you wove into the lines. I think this is a winner!!

You already know how I feel about this lovely poem. I think i would have mentioned the other two quintilla forms, copla real and single stanza in your notes, as they are all qintillas of a type.
