Ciao poet, you have three votes now!
I love your take.
I agree with you; our body is a gift and we should care and love it, for it is precious like a temple.
Too many people don't cherish or respect this beautiful gift.
They over eat , they use drugs , are alcoholics others sell their bodies for money ( a whore, or for elite magazine for men etc )
I'm not surprised your line of thought did not win more votes.
In the last week many American women are screaming :My Body, My Choice.
I don't think God would agree.
Our womb is supposed to be a safe haven for a new growing life.
God would not be happy to see that spark of life scraped out , or pulled , ripped out of the body He gave as a gift.

Please read my Jesus Bears My Burdens poem.

In your poem you show a keen awareness of the spiritual aspect of knowing your body is a temple as God wanted, and also all the sensory aspects of enjoying life through sight, sound, touch, and smell.
Comment:
I fold my arms to pray. (This seems an unusual position - do you perhaps mean you fold your hands?)

Oh I see - you must be a Mormon? Most others fold their hands.
