Bill,
Your great story is nostalgic. I am old enough to have watched "Lost in Space," and Star Trek, both of which frightened me at first.
Just a small touch up, a comma after "his family visited," to clarify the sentence.
Great work.
Good luck,
Blessings,
Cindy

Lassie certainly brings back some memories, I didn't progress to star trek, my journey took me to F. Troop, The Monkeys, and the like, though space films have very much exceeded these, a wonderful trip down memory lane, an excellent read****kahpot

I remember the first colour TV I set my eyes on and it was like a miracle! Me and my sisters had an old black and white TV to watch in our bedroom and every now and then the picture would start moving around and around. We would slap the top of the TV to stop it! It worked for around 15 minutes and then the picture would start moving again. My parents watched the colour TV in our lounge. I adored Star Trek as it was so forward thinking and magical, you brought all my memories back to me here Bill, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

My son has watched every episode of every STAR TREK series, often many times (Next Generation). He has not mentioned the episode you refer to here, but I will ask him about it. I enjoyed reading this.

I saw that episode from the Original show many times. I can only imagine what I must have been like for those who were used to Black and White to presented with all he vibrant colors. Now, it takes more than that to wow us.

I like the original series on the oldies tv networks.
Several of the big screen movies that were an offshoot
of it were just not good. You did a good job, Bill, recapping
this series and one particular show. It will most likely rerun
on the oldies network again and again and . . .
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I like this chapter in your book, Bill... and now you have told us that you were called ' Billy' as a child... not a far stretch to Bill, duh. LOL I am not a strong Trekkie, but I have always watched the shows when they are on. It was so fascinating to watch a sci-fi show all those years ago. Well done.

I'm guessing that the 11 year-old-boy is you? I remember the first one, too. It came to the UK a few years later, when I was about 23. It was still as magical then as it is now. I enjoyed going back in time. I remember getting our first colour television, too! My goodness, how old I feel. Well done, Bill, I enjoyed this. :)) Sandra xx

I likely watched a few of them back then. My husband was a bigger fan than me. I wouldn't remember if the characters are the same or not. I'm
sure fans will be pleased anyway.
