I'm afraid I haven't been on site much recently, Sandra, and have been woefully remiss about reviewing. However, I'm glad to hear you are reasonably well recovered from this pernicious affliction.

Wow, didn't know you had that tough time! Hope you are all recovered now! We both had the shots, then the boosters, and we still got COVID.
Not as bad as you had it (The second time!!), just sick and miserable for two weeks.

It took a long time to get over, but everyone on here were so kind to me. I do believe in the power of prayer, and I'm sure that helped me a lot. Thanks for another lovely review, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

I am lucky to have not had it yet, though, my daughter, like you, has had it twice despite being vaccinated and boostered. My neighbor has had it three times. Once she found out in the hospital while giving birth to her second child.

OMG...what a worthless friend I have become! While I waddle through all the muck, I am fully unaware that my friend is suffering. I am so sorry that I have not been on FS and did not know earlier that you were ill. I so hope that you are recovering and things are looking brighter by now. Please know that I never would intentionally ignore your posts and illness. Sending all my love and prayers for a speedy recovery.

I am sorry you are sick and my thoughts are with you. I hope you get better soon. The trouble is, although they say you can only catch COVID once, there are so many stains out there it is easy to catch another. Get well soon as you are truly missed.

Well, I can confirm you can catch COVID twice, I had it first at Easter, and was so suprised to get it again. This time is has hit me harder. I think my vaccines have weakened, I was due to have the second booster at the end of this month, now I have to wait until I've been clear for 4 weeks. Thanks for your kind thoughts, Jackie, I really appreciate them. :)) Sandra x

I am so sorry for your being sick, Sandra. Breaking ribs coughing is bizarre and has to be terribly restricting. Thank you so much, Bill. I've been shown how to hold myself and told what to do and what not to do to lesson the pain with my ribs. It will take some time, I've been told. The drugs I've been on have helped with my breathing and the horrid cough but I'll be glad when it's over. This is such a nice message to wake up to this morning, Bill, thank you. I'll make a wish under that star, :) thank you for that, too. And thank you for the prayers, I've had so many of you on FS praying for me, I'm just so humbled. Bless your heart. Warm hugs, my friend. Thanks, Judy. I'm having a better nights sleep now the steriods are kicking in. That's the worst part, I can cope more if I've slept. But I'll feel much better when the cough stops and my ribs stop hurting. I've been told to be patient, and not do anything silly. As if!
I'm just so humbled by everyone on Fanstory, all keeping me in their prayers, where else would you find such a wonderful group of caring people? It brings me to tears. I've got you and Liz to thank for that. Love you lots, my friend. xxxx

Thank you, estory, I'm improving daily, but not fast enough. I don't think my asthma helped. Never mind, I had a good sleep last night, the first time and feel better just for that. I'm on Amoxcillin, and steriods, and a stronger inhaler. I'm getting there! Thanks, my friend. xxx Sandra xx
