I agree with this writing prompt. Getting old is no funa and I refuse to do it. Who cares that I have grandchildren old enough to make be a great-grandma? I don't want even want to consider that. LOL I enjoyed reading. It was fun.

Awe, thanks Barb. I kinda have grandkids old enough, but two of them are just going on 19. You have all sons, but have granddaughters now. Right? I have always loved hearing your fun comments about raising three or four boys? I thank you for the lovely review of the poem and appreciate your kind comments. Thanks again my friend!

My older grandkids are boys. Calin 24 and Geoffrey 23, so they're old enough. The next is a granddaughter, 18, she'd better wait. LOL

Don't worry, I tend to avoid entertainment about disasters, crooks, murder, etc. I would much rather watch slap stick comedy, sci fi, and well ending stories, with sloppy sentiment, I've always thought entertainment and reading should release one from this awful world, I can't believe I'm getting old, I'm an escapist by nature, but a lover by choice. I like to think from both sides, to be unbiased, that's my goal at least, beautifully written Deb, blessings Roy

They say you're only as old as the woman you feel, which is obviously a little misogynistic but I'm sure it can be adapted! I say we're as old as we allow ourselves to be (until the knee starts playing up, but the knee can sod off!).

It always seems to be the knees doesn't it! My Mum had one replaced a few years ago, and mine play up but I can blame burgers and Haagen Daas for that :-).
I hope your surgery goes well.

Thanks again Mike for the fun review and the laugh that will surely get me through the weekend. I appreciate your kind thoughts and will be having the next leg and knee done in September and praying that after that in a few months I will be able to walk again. They are very hopeful and so am I. (I have Lupus and kidney disease and slowly crippled me confined me to the wheelchair. Not telling you this for sympathy, but just to explain what is happening)
I have a wonderful outlook and I owe so much of that to my awesome friends like you here on FS. Thanks again Mike
