Your ultra-concise poem--written according to strict standards for this style--vividly describes a very famous place and the romantic, moving
reason behind its creation.

This poem, Taj Mahal by Moonlight, honors the established tribute from the shah to his much-adored wife. Such a lasting show of devotion for his true love. Wow.

I haven't read one of your Japanese poems in a while. This one is pretty. I like how you tie together lives 1, 3, and 4, and how you equate the Taj Majal with the word love. I really enjoyed the notes though. I always assumed that Mumtaz Majal was a beautiful young princess. I can't imagine dying in childbirth after having 13 other children.

This was a great poem! I didn't know any of this about the Taj Mahal before reading, and its always great to learn something new. I loved the idea of something so grand, beautiful, and extravagant being a monument to love, I found it really touching.

Oh this is a perfect poem for this prompt, June. Lovely artwork sets the stage for an eloquent verse about the love he had for her. I long to see the Taj Mahal, but it is so far away. A wonderful verse.

I've always marveled at the beauty of the Taj Mahal and the love story behind. I love to see. On the other hand, didn't these Indian lovers realize that having so many children isn't good for a woman's body. Maybe he felt a little quilty. The Manyoshu you wrote is beautiful and so is that picture. It look mystical.
