What a compelling read, June. I really enjoyed it and catch that point you are making. All writers are normal people too and we always think of them as someone who sits on a pedestal. Great entry for this prompt!

Thanks, Melissa. I'm glad you got the point that writers are human and have fragile egos. We need to tread lightly when offering constructive criticism and give credit when credit is due. In the end, we all benefit. You are always kind and offer insights in a positive way.

I find this very interesting and informative about this mPalmer. Some writers are very private people many living a lonely life.
they fear dissapointment just like everyone else. Others are a success right away others take years to succeed .

I found this fascinating. I'm sure it helped with publishers that he had medical credentials. That would have met the "write what you know" criteria. It is easy to forget that everyone started somewhere and that everyone has to deal with most the same things "ordinary people" do. Thanks for telling of your encounter.
