Your poem sounds like a pull yourself up by your bootstraps situation. There was a lot of emotional readjusting that you had to do in addition to going to work. You have a lot of strengths.
Best wishes.

Good for you. Sometimes it takes a lot to make us see the faults of the ones we care about. I can relate to your story. My first husband was good-looking and stuck on himself. I commend your courage.

The poem reflects the feeling of sorrow and pain at the hands of a lost lover as details were revealed of the situation. Writing certainly holds the power of healing as indicated by the revelation that in spite of all the wrongs your world righted itself. There is no greater revenge than living well. My heart goes out to you for all your troubles and sings joyously at finding your uplifted life.

What a beautiful story of faith and triumph. I am so happy you have been blessed and carried on with your life. Congratulations on your victories, and know that you never deserved that pain! It is beautiful when we can turn hardships into beautiful works.

You have given a wonderful witness here of God's goodness and mercy and love. I'm so glad He came to help you work and survive despite the selfish treatment by your ex-husband. I hope the peace and happiness God has given you keeps you from all bitterness to the the one who mistreated you so badly.

Thank you Verna. I have found true peace in my heart through the Lord and now rarely even think of the past anymore.

A well written Poem accompanied by a beautiful photo, I assume, of your country home. You have endured much but are strong and a survivor. Well done! You should be very proud of your achievements. Forgiveness is very healing, it takes courage and determination. Thank you for sharing and all the best with your writing. Franky

Ramona,
I am very glad to know and read about your new beginning in life.
Actually, in one sense, every new day is a new beginning for each of us.
Life's hardships, as difficult as they are, come to us for a reason - to make changes, move on, learn something new, or whatever. The pain you have endured has helped you to grow wiser and stronger - a blessing in disguise.

Well written. Good work.
Not being a poet, I really shouldn't review them, but ....
I have my own home in the Country - 'Country' doesn't need catiptalized.
A New Beginning. - no caps. Italics would make your point better.
Congratulations and best wishes.

Thanks so much Wayne! I know I shouldn?t have capitalized. I guess I did for emphasis but should have bolted or used quotes instead. Thanks for not hold it against me. :)

I can totally relate to your lost love story. It happened to me. I was used for money after my compensation paid out for my accident. The the face I adored went searching for an able bodied person and still you wanted my money but not me. Well done. K xx
