You sound like a woman of adventure. You have worked hard. You have suffered many losses. However, you sound like a strong woman. One who is very independent. Thank you for sharing your story. Have a great evening.

Thank you. I don't know how strong I am but I do know I have to live several more years to care for my pets. Hugs

Even though you've described some very difficult and trying times in you life, you told your story in a humorous way. I enjoy reading your stories, because your life is totally different from mine, as I grew up in a big city. Thirty years of cows sounds fascinating. It also sounds like open, fresh air, which I knew little about as a child. Your story is well written and well told. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you. I don't know how fresh the air was with all that cow poop around. (kidding) Farming is a good way to live. I would never be happy in the city. I don't even like to drive in Grand Rapids or any other city. I still live out in the country with my neice and pets. Hugs

A couple of grammar issues, but no biggies. Line 1 - Old (no comma) Line 4 - however, Line 14 - this, Line 20 - you = your Line 22 - neice (no comma). A true factual written your way. Well done.

Thank you for catching my spags. I will edit and correct. I wrote kind of fast and late at night. Not a good combination. I just let grammarly catch the commas and what not. I should have read it over today. Thanks again. Hugs

Not a problem, and for something written fast most was well done. Keep at it.

You did very well with the contest rules. Indeed, you gave a brief autobiography of you life, showing a physical description of yourself with some of your hardships. WELL DONE.

Thank you. It's hard to cover your life in less than 500 words. I had fun writing it, though. Hugs

I think this is a well written humorous description of your life. I didn't find it boring, at all. As for the cows, you may be milking it. Best of luck in the contest! Evi

Thank you. I actually loved farming and I kind of miss all my cows. I'm not sure my old body could handle the hours and hard work anymore, though. Hugs

I really like your story. I too am seventy-six. I am a widower and I too had a divorce early on, the second worked for a long time. I had a heart attack at forty-one. We raised seven cats. But the thing that is really good about your story is that you like yourself and your life, and that message comes through with truth. Excellent writing! Good luck in the contest. Terry.

Thank you. It would be a lonesome life without my dog and my cats. Boy, you had a heart attack at a young age. Does heart disease run in your family? My younger brother had a heart attack when he was 36. I have never had any problems since the one heart attack and am doing fine now. Hugs

My father, mother, and younger brother all died from heart disease, and my wife also.

Love it, love it, love it! Keep milking those cows! I to, am a cat lady and proud of it. Memoirs are my favorite form of writing to read and I enjoyed reading yours, would love to read more about you. I also love your positive attitude which I need right now, nothing less than a six.

Thank you, and thanks for the six stars. I appreciate them. No more cows now, only my dog and cats. I could have said a lot more, but there is a 500 word limit in the contest. Hugs

I would change the title to a delightful person to know.
Your story is charming and warm and told in a conversational way. You show that the hardships and losses you faced do not weigh you down as you live to enjoy your life come what may.
Surviving so many brothers and sisters is a challenge in itself!
Thank you for an interesting and well-written introduction.
Best wishes,
Mary

Thank you. It has been a long life and I still must survive to care for my cats. The youngest is four so I will have to live to be ninety. Hugs

Your life sounds like it has all the regular highs and lows as well as a few deep child-loss depths which can only be imagined. Glad you're so healthy and I am in awe of that. It's true what they said back when we were young: If you have your health, you've got practically everything. Thanks for the quick bio.

Thank you for participating in my challenge. It's good you survived
seven brothers and four sisters. I was the only lad among six so idk if humor was how I survived but I did the whip and rack of sisterhood.
