Great response to the prompt. A very honest and authentic examination of how you view yourself. You are amazingly special, Wendy, with unique compassion and talents.

Thank you very much. But I think I am really just very ordinary, and you would probably be disappointed to know me in person!

A wonderful composite portrait of YOU! I remember your stories - the bike challenge, the caring for that sweet disabled boy with love for music and how your children learned to care of others, and your rewarding adventures in teaching! The most important thing is that God used you in every situation and you built up His Kingdom and that's the best honor ever! Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you Helen. In the end, all that really counts is HIS love and acceptance, despite my weakness, failures and insecurities. But it has been an interesting exercise to think about who I am as a person, what to include, what to leave out. Many thanks again.

This is a wonderful essay that helps the reader get to know you, your hopes and your feelings. I like that you added several specific instances of what you believe to be your best accomplishments. I also like your repeat of the phrase " that's enough." For most of us, great achievements elude us, yet we have a good life which is "enough." It was fun for me to see how many things we have in common... the shyness/teaching thing especially.

Thank you Kate - a lovely and encouraging review. I think the shyness thing re teaching is that in the classroom we are in control and can direct the learning in positive ways, whereas parties have a lot of social chit-chat and light conversation, which I am not good at and therefore feel insecure. Could that be it? Thanks so much for reviewing.

You sound like a wonderful person to know. I enjoyed finding out more than I have already known from reading your work. Most of all, you know the one who created you and understands any time you fall short of any of your goals.

Thank you Verna. I am actually full of insecurities - which is why HIS love and acceptance are so special and important. I appreciate your lovely review.

You win! That's how I feel. Yours is a life well lived, filled with compassion and honesty, as you gave of yourself to others, to make their lives better. I admire your being able to open up and reveal your innermost feelings and asperations. Your entry in the contest is not only well written, it is inspirational. I wish you the best in the contest.

That is a wonderful review, and I appreciate it a lot. I feel very ordinary, and vulnerable (even just entering the contest!) and have lots of insecurities ... so your kind words and the six stars are greatly valued. Many thanks.

I thank you for sharing what you have with us, making yourself vulnerable, I've made myself a bit of a target here by exposing parts of my life, and the devil is quick to take advantage, although we humans aren't blameless. Thank you so much for making yourself vulnerable, we'll always have doubts about our own veracity, I've just been challenged, but you have my support, but most of all, the beloved, Christ, standing in the gap, our advocate. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy. Yes, we do become vulnerable, but there is much left unsaid in my short story. Thanks for your excellent review and the reminder of the One who is with us.

Wendy, You did a very good job at describing yourself for this writing prompt contest. You have accomplished many things in life, but the one that matters is what we do for Jesus. I would say you have done a lot with the special child you and your family took in. Thank you for sharing! love and blessings, Teri

Virtual six for this wonderful bit of writing. I find descriptions make the writing as well as the story. You are unique and a pleasure to read. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,

Wendy,

How sweet and humble. I like it! This actually sounds a lot like me! Wanting to leave some sort of 'imprint' from my life - something lasting. Not so easily done!! *smile* But then, the most important thing of all is love. And we got that. haha! Thanks!

Thank you Robyn for reviewing. Yes, we all want to be significant in some way, and thankfully we are significant to Him, and a few others, which is all that really matters.

Success in this world no longer appeals; it's irrelevant. (AMEN!)

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. You are an amazing person who loves the Lord. That in itself is extra ordinary. Good luck with the contest.

I feel that my children missed out on some special childhood experiences because I was either too busy with his care, or too tired, and I have forgotten much of their childhood (omit 'that')

Thank you Barbara! I appreciate your lovely review, and good wishes. Using the conjunction "that" is how we were taught to write. I am trying to remember to remove them for the sake of the wider readership, and this one has now gone too! Lol.
