What a sweet poem and, after reading it, as you said, "how can I be unhappy any more?" It's reverent and uplifting, filled with a healthy respect for the beauty of nature.

Your aa,bb,ccc rhyme scheme is interesting, and you use it well and consistently. My only question is why, in the last verse, you rhymed "eyes" with "eyes," and not another word. Might you, perhaps, want to say, "reverent sighs?"

Oh, what a good catch. I didn't intend to repeat 'eyes' at all... I miss-put it again when I did in fact mean to write sighs - you know my mind!

I actually did suspect that might be what you had in mind. There are some people who do think that using the same word does rhyme. (They don't realize that only works if you rhyme the preceding word, i.e., "light eyes" rhymes with "bright eyes.") I didn't get the impression you were one of them. Your other rhymes were too well chosen.

No, I hope I never become 'one of them'.

This sounds like a wonderful happy place to be. It sounded scary at first, but when you explained things, it sounded great. Thank you so much for sharing.

Wild places can be dangerous, but they heighten emotion and respect.
