Lol. I thought the name Crank was cool for him. Great little story of giving up Christmas plans to go rescue your new pet, Wendy. Yeah, he's a cutie. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. I really enjoyed how you came by Sunny and how he was a Christmas present in a way. It is great when the new dog takes to the new owners. It must be awfully disappointing if the chemistry is not there.

Thank you for reviewing. Yes, I sometimes watch "The Dog House" on TV where pets are matched with potential new owners, and it sometimes just doesn't work for the dog. Sunny never looked back. I'm very thankful.

Paul is out mowing the lawn, so I jumped up in his chair and opened up FanStory. What a great surprise to find the story about Sunny. It looks like it was love at first sight. I came from a kennel where golden retrievers were raised. The only homes that I know are Paul's and his son's. I'm really Paul's son's dog, but I visit Paul quite a bit. Paul's son went to Nashville last week, so I was here with Paul for several days. Paul told me that you were a school teacher like he was. Teachers are good people. I hope you and Sunny have many happy years together. I'll write again... Sam

Hi Sam, How lovely to hear your news. I'm glad therefore that you are staying with Paul and have access to his computer. I hope you are keeping well. It seems I have some arthritis starting, although I'm not yet eight. Mama is giving me anti inflammatory tablets for two weeks. I'm getting used to them. The first few I got the taste, and had to spit them out. Now I check very carefully because she hides them in my food!
