I love the entirety of your 8th paragraph, where you meet your new dog for the first time. Isn't it just like a dog to shower his owner/s with affection, no matter what? I love it. And you're right, they adopt you!
I think I like "Sunny" a lot better than "Crank" too.
What a heartwarming story. What a way for me to start my FS morning.

Thank you Gary for your keen eye, and for your encouraging review. I even had to send photos of my backyard, as she couldn't personally check. I thought at the time it was quite a process, but in retrospect I am glad they are very thorough in finding safe and comfortable homes for their animals needing rescue.

We had a puller and choker, who we had to get a harness for, otherwise he might have choked himself, he had a sunny, short and chunky, loved children, he was a ratbag, but gentle with children, he's gone now, he is much missed, kwe been fostering a Moodle dog, thanks for sharing Wendy, blessings Roy

Thank you Jenny. I even had to send photos of our backyard! At the time I was surprised how complex the process was, but in retrospect I'm glad they are very diligent in finding comfortable and safe homes for the animals in their care.
By the way, congratulations on your three recent wins (I voted for each, not knowing it was you!)

Dogs are amazing creatures. We've had them most of our lives. For the past three years we've been house/pet sitters, traveling the country staying in people's homes tending their property, pets, and plants while they travel. (17 and counting, to all corners of the country)
