I think it's an interesting concept that articulates the relationships between members here, the politics of ratings, and the inner emotions we all feel when we read those ratings, that we don't always articulate on the in feedback. It also creates some personality for people that seem so ambiguous behind those pennames. estory

Hmm, well this is well made dialogue only conversation. This is non-fiction Bio, so it is a slice of life story. I'm don't think member who give a lower than five rating needs to tell why or what's wrong according to the rules. It would be nice if they did, but they have the option of making a subjective review. I don't always like that, but I do understand it when it comes to reviewing... essentially... art. Like this. It is objectively flawless. But... does it move a reader?

Hmm, well this is well made dialogue only conversation. This is non-fiction Bio, so it is a slice of life story. This was a fun little extract. I like the idea of interviews with authors. I've had a few 'new writer' threes recently myself - neither replied when I (genuinely gently) asked for constructive suggestions.
I've always thought Fanstory is an interesting reflection of the wider world. Just as there, there's a difference between quality and popularity, and of course the golden talent is managing to have both :-)

The story of the month is an interesting competition as you have no choice in entering it. Lee does indeed win most of them. I rarely feature these days but then, I don't play the 'fanstory' game.
I know Lee would be up for an interview. I'm pretty certain Ric would be too, so I'm game - it'll give more of a chance to alienate a lot more folk! But seriously, it might be interesting.
It's completely impractical but it would be fun to have a round-table talk sort of thing like I did at the BBC a few years back.

Garth, thank you for reading. The round table idea would be great if we could film it. It might even be a Youtube sensation for writers.
That was what I had in mind when I did the first interviews. But I discovered it was better to let the individuals stand alone. I thought it provided more depth and allowed the writer to express their thoughts freely.
Lee has agreed to do an interview, and I think you are right about Ric, but I have not asked him yet. I do think one with you would be very interesting for the members and me!
