The story is easy to follow. April definitely is difficult to be trained. As a trainer you have learned well how to handle a difficult horse.

What a great conclusion! We teachers always need to be learning and if from other teachers, so much the greater the rewards! Good for you to do the research and learn well in order to teach well.

As a city girl, I loved the adventure and imagery of a biting and kicking horse, and wished I could have seen how you drive a horse one way and then the other around a pen. Based on the picture, April is a beautiful horse with a mild-mannered racial expression. I would delight in more horse stories. Best wishes in the contest.

Isn't it funny, I can remember a fellow parent who was amazed that there was such a thing as a naughty child, (he had two well behaved children) he listened amazed that some kids gave their caring parents a hard time, until he had a third child...so yes, why not in the animal kingdom? Thank you. My horse training days are long past. I'm 76 now and when I trained April I was in my forties. It can be dangerous work and one needs to be quick on their feet. I would have loved to tell more of how the training was done but the word limit didn't allow it. Hugs.
