The minute poem has proven to be an excellent choice of style/form for your inspirational, heartfelt message about widespread maladies and needs--and the Lor'd power to comfort and heal.

Thank you, Janice! And I hope you are fully recovered from Covid. I'm so glad you had the Paxlovid. It's such an unpredictable disease.
    Appreciate you!

Our prayer lists seem to keep getting longer and as we read those of others we learn of oh so many more who need prayers. Thanks for sharing. .........................

Thank you so much, Helen, for sharing this. You are such a blessing to us on here, keeping us informed of birthdays and prayer needs. I have printed off this list and will pray for these needs. Thank you for including my son, I appreciate it.

You are welcome. I talked to Mark tonight and he said he is not having fusion, but a less invasive surgery that they hope will solve the problem.

Thank the Lord! When is the surgery?
reply by Anne Johnston on 19-Jul-2022
    His surgery is August 19

-Nice artwork and presentation, Helen.
-Thanks for sharing the notes and poem
and for caring about fellow fanstorians.
-You wrote a very good minute poem
showing how "we can join hands"
"with heartfelt prayer."
-I agree that it is a way to help
"lift burdens for our friends."

This minute poem is a good format and it works well for the this verse expressing how we can make an impact so of the things going on in the world and in the life of our friends but joining with others in prayer.

I'm just learning now about this book from this post. What a WONDERFUL idea! I sent prayers up for all of those you've listed, and then I included one for YOU, as well, because you are SO consistent and genuine about taking care of others that I want everything in YOUR life to be blessed, as well. You don't just "talk the talk," Helen; you walk a MARATHON of walk. I'm sending you love this week as you deal with what you also have on tap. May solutions come with a minimum of turmoil--emotional and otherwise.

Wonderful poem-prayer to add your collection. xo

Thank you so much, Rachelle! Appreciate your prayers so much! I think it's great that we can build community this way. And I am really grateful for your prayer for me. 💖💖 You know you can always add to this book and have us pray for any concerns you know of. I'll let you know when the solutions come. Hugs and blessings to you!

Hi Helen, when the world joins hands in prayer, powerful things happen. I've seen it before on FS. Thank you for writing this poem and keeping us updated on our FS brothers and sisters. I would like to add Tom H to the prayer list. He has Covid, and possibly his wife too.

Your poem is heartfelt. I especially liked:
God holds the keys
to bring relief
from pain and grief
(This is so very true.)

I didn't know about Gert. I haven't seen her on FS for a while, but there have been times where she would take a break. She was one of the very first people to befriend me on FS when I joined in 2006. I just love her.

Well chosen photo. We are family. Keep the blue waters flowing. Margaret ~ LateBloomer

The minute form is well suited to the creation of a short pray.. it is long enough for the author to be able to put across the bulk of his or her idea or plea while being short enough to be easily committed to memory for future use.

Thank you, Jim! It was something that I wanted to share more in the notes and less in the poem. But you got it!
    Hugs and blessings!

This is a fine prayer for the suffering of others and your minute is well metered and rhymed with the kindness within that we should afford others in their hour of need. Yesterday an elderly woman was crying uncontrollably in one of the thrift shops. Someone had stolen her purse. Then another woman in the shop complained of the same thing. We had a thief stealing from old ladies in town. I felt her distress and took her to the police who had pulled up outside another shop where the same thing had occurred. We had had some travellers (gypsies) who have camped in our town and I suspect it is them, but I can't be sure of course. I have always felts safe here, but crime happens everywhere. Anyway your kind prayer is for these people who are victims of crime, love Dolly x

Thank you for being that Good Samaritan to that woman would was robbed! You have blessed her beyond words. I hope those thieves will be caught! Life is hard enough already with the economy as it is, but all the bureaucracy to replace her purse items is overwhelming. Appreciate you sharing that and for the super review and rating! Hugs!
