Hahahaha. I can see why this would be a serious pet peeve! It's quite eye-opening--one of those things that, if it isn't part of your life, you don't give it consideration. But now I know I'm going to start noticing it.

I certainly understand your point. Until my husband and I began delivering meals on wheels we never noticed. Now we have our number on our house and mailbox. Best of luck with the Pet Peeve contest.

Excellent

so you make deliveries of hot food? Good for you. There have been two men die recently in my neighborhood, and I have been baking and need to also take meals.
My numbers are in two places - brass numbers down the post beside my front door and on a white, wood- framed sign right under mailbox in a brick post out by street. Easy to see in daytime, and at night everybody on our street leaves their outdoor lights on to hopefully deter thieves or other crazies, etc. Plus we have street lights.
