Hi Terry, it's a very interesting interview and great answers. Gareth and I joined FS almost at the same time and I have followed him ever since. Hot Damn! When I grow up, I want to be just like the Giraff-Man! He stumbled onto this site having never written a story before, and immediately becomes one of the premier prose writers in a pond filled with prose writers. Of course, his background offered lots of fodder for yarning, and you know those loveable Irishmen--the poet gene seems never to skip a beat.
Nicely written interview, Terry. You've revealed a man, who despite mild protestations, takes his chosen craft very seriously.
Kudos to both of you.

So glad that you interviewed Gareth! He is a phenomenal writer and reviewer here. His standards are very high! I remember the story about his name. And he also used to share stories that his daughter wrote. I knew a little about his Northern Ireland background but here he gave many more details. Best wishes to him in the international competition!

I use that word, because he has a hint of a sense of humor that goes well with his very interesting life. I have never read any of his work, but now I am excited to check him out. I went back and read Lee's (Humpwhistle's) He's one of my favorites. I looked for Helen's but didn't find it. I enjoy your writing. I probably need to add you as a fan.
