I enjoyed this short piece, although it confirmed the thought that has been crystallizing in my mind over the least few days. We react too late. In relation to your tale I mean that you should spend all your earthly life trying to improve, I think. Kate xx

In sports my coaches taught when you're done improving, you're done. Perhaps, that is how the Lord sees it too.

Excellent entry for the ... Your view of the afterlife contest contest. ...

Nice presentation. Your words flow well in a very descriptive and clear way.

I find the afterlife premise is an interesting subject.

Good luck in the contest.

I choke it our side is an acceptable synonym. I also find so overused. Really.

I found this refreshing and amusing. Refreshing because it does not have the expected heavenly scenes. It is a view of the present life and not so much the afterlife as this is still a question. I enjoyed the ending, riding on another's coattail to get to heaven, may not work, so better start improving now!
Best wishes,
Mary

I lean to the "embryonic breath" theory but definitely agree, a slap on the arse will get things going for sure.

Para 5, 1st sentence: (sol) should be (so)
Para 7, 1st sentence: Add space between ('there') and (after)
Para 7, 2nd sentence (CliffNotes) should be (Cliff Notes) or (CliffsNotes)
Para 7, 3rd sentence: CONSIDER (transcribed) rather than (transcripted) Transcribed sems to be the more accepted verb form of the adjective transcripted
Para 8, 4th sentence: Remove one space before (Then)
Para 9, 6th sentence: Remove enough spaces to bring the next sentence up to a continuous read with the rest of the paragraph.

The entire sixth paragraph is spot on. Been there, done that. and still doing, thank God.

A very healthy, "I really don't know" look at what is to come.

Sol was fine, and I've been told three times, but was sure to cross my t and dot the i before I used it because SO I feel is overly used. A great review and all points save for the first have been corrected. Thank you.

The awesome picture pertains not to my review. However, it screams loud and clear, "What is out there beyond those clouds?"

-This posting begins with the age old question of when life begins. Is it at conception or is it at, as you so eloquently expressed, with a "slap on the arse"?

-The next question concerns how long earthly life lasts. You proposed typically not more than a century, which is not very long compared to eternity. In some cases, 100 years is way too long.

-Not sure "where time is unlimited," the definition of eternity, adds much to the statement it ends and could be considered for deletion.

-Next up you pondered which life period is most significant, the earthly or the eternal? That was left unanswered by this piece.

-The fear of death is questioned. Would agree that well could be based on the "time, place, and circumstances" surrounding the situation. I may also include the person's quality of life, or lack thereof.

-"London-like fog:" a good description.

-Good depiction of what many do consider from "Adults are" to "memories and accountabilities".

-Those "lost" languages may hold plenty of value, perhaps even long sought after answers.

-Gold streets and mansions. If you make it to Heaven why not enjoy all it offers?

-When you said "Our hope" take that to mean your?

Quite an interesting piece.

At the moment this life is more significant but what lays ahead. I appreciate the time you give in an in-depth review. Not many folks would for a measly two cent or whatever reward. The picture is an edited portion of a scene in the LDS welcome center, SLC, Utah which is the background for He who created what there is. I need to re-read my piece to answer or change what you suggest. Once more. Thank you. Sincerely. Tom

A very interesting introspective look at life and the possible afterlife.

notes:

Adults are concerned about their demise but more {sol} because

-so

Adults are concerned about

-Most or Normally, adult are concerned about

is the gold standard in real estate, even in {heaven,}

- Heaven (name)

yes sol is an acceptable substitute for so which I learned in writing this piece, and why not use it for so is overused continuously in speech and in the written word. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Tom, I loved this. It is so true, and as much as we can write fancy stories about the afterlife and how wonderful it will be in Heaven, compared to here, I have not a clue what to expect or what it will be like. And as far as riding on coattails to make it there, if that is possible, then my husband will surely be riding on mine. However, to be truthful, I am not always so sure of my own, as I wish I didn't fall to some temptations or make some mistakes over & over. I know I am a good person and have a good heart, but wish I was more confident that my love for Jesus, God and people was enough to get me there. This was a well written story about the truth of how fast this life travels from birth to the end. The photo is as perfect as the story and I only wish I had a six to give you my dear friend.

That's ok. Being called friend is an eleven. I know I am a good person and have a good heart also, but ... fraid it's not enuff to be exalted. Maybe, an annex just below His celestial penthouse where I may catch sight of the pair afterwards there.

I pray that I live in the same penthouse as you, cause when you find very special people in your life, you don't want to ever lose them.

This is a very interesting view of the present life and the afterlife. Mansions don't mean much to me, either, although I like your idea of two and a half baths. Strange that someone thought gold would be a big deal. Maybe you shouldn't count on coattails, just in case. Best of luck in the contest.

I do hope, a lot. Change very little from yesterday, and yet I have found I keep making one mistake constantly, of which I shall not share with anyone but my confessor. :-0
