Nicely Written Lisa had a good flow, rhythm and rhyme and you expanded on many aspects of a person and life's complexities.
I am thankful for my lot in life and try to life it to the best of my ability and enjoy my lovely family and great friends made over a lifetime.
Cheers Chris

This poem, The Life of a Person, is well written with wide-ranging ideas about life and how we feel personally about it. The current upheaval with Right to Life versus Choice has once again brought our value system into scrutiny.

You covered the topic of each person's worth very judiciously and nonjudgmentally. And you're right, no matter what differences there are, the worth of each person is that each is precious to God. Congratulations on your second place finish!

You have chosen an appropriate piece of art to support your poetry.
With people daily interacting and co-exsisting with each others all desiring to live a happy life is truly a very complex and challenging journey.
You have addressed 'Humanity' with lots of questions which every individual will probably at least have to consider at some point during their life. How we survive each day as unique persons will depend on how we ride out the storms of life and enjoy the good times. Your poem included lots of choices to embrace or not, one being faith in a Heavenly Father or risk ending up in Hell. A well rhyming and thought provoking presentation. All the best to you in the contest.

A well crafted poem with meaning and a fine theme. Each person has value, and each should be respected without judgement. I wish you success for your smoothly flowing and well rhymed poetry.

This sounds like the rallying call for "We Can Do So Much Better." You covered all the bases of what complicates our existence these days, but you did it in such a way that I don't feel castigated or "preached at." (That's certainly no small feat!) I like what you did here very much. You should garner lots and lots of votes...but even if you don't, the message, for me, was excellent. Thank you for that.

Excellent entry for the "The Life of a............" writing prompt contest.
I enjoyed reading your story about life in the light of God.
Your story moved along nicely and the plot was easy to understand and follow. Good character development.
Well done, my friend.

If we were all blind and adopted a sense of intuition or of feeling, I think we would all be better off. The primary thing that sets one person against another is the "first sight." Color, body, face, tattoos, hair, dress, anything but what really matters, personality and emotion. We ARE each precious in the eyes of the Lord, why not accept that in our own personal interactions.
Nicely worded.

Hello Mystery Poet a wonderful Wednesday to you. I hope this finds you well. Thank you for sharing that wonderful piece of work, it was beautiful. I couldn't agree more with your messaging, parts of it felt like I wrote it myself. This is the type message that needs to be spread.
Favorite lines:
Not all are believers -- don't say their path's wrong.
Life's a compromise; we must all get along.
We all are so different, each story's our own;
we thrive when respect and compassion are shown.
Six stars all day!

This has a solid rhythm and a continuous flow that carries us through the questions and the different ways in which worth might be evaluated. Of course the real debate is how we define worth. I'd love to say all people are equal, but the stakes and scales are subjective. I enjoyed the thought-provoking read.
