You chose a lovely illustration and background color to go with your poem. The poem has many proud sentiments included in it.
This sentence might be reworked: "There's nothing new out there, that likely to be found." so it would read as: 'There's nothing new out there that is likely to be found.'
Also, the phrase "toot her horn." seems very casual for the eloquence of the rest of the poem.
Overall, it is a very nice poem.
Best wishes.

This is very well written and I agree with the things you say. If we want to save our country, we have to come together to work out the problems we have. Most importantly, we have to be behind our country all the way. Best of luck in the contest. :)

This contest has produced some really good poems - full of patriotism. This poem gives the reader a good feeling while also presenting some warning signs.

Thank you Paul, I appreciate the review. There has never been a time when everyone was happy about the way things were in Washington but now it feels as though we are maybe the most polarized and divided we have ever been since the Civil war.

A well metered and rhymed tribute to your homeland and how you feel about its progress and future. America is going through rough patch just now, but she will bounce back once you have a good leader in charge, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly, America has gone through many rough patches and so far she has always bounced back. There was a time when if we weren't happy with the leader, we realized they would only there until they term expired or enough people wanted a change. After all they don't get to make all the decisions.

hmm, I liked this plea for tolerance and finding common ground and loving one's country. I may disagree with some of your opinions, but I like the way you expressed it.

Thank you. I appreciate the review. I believe there is always plenty of room for a difference of opinion. I love our country and I don't like to see it trashed, but we should be free to have differences without bad feeling about the other side.

A thought provoking and currently salient topic. The poem flows well. The images are clear. The rhymes are unforced. The arguments well stated.

Thanks for a good read.

Very well- written. You have made a lot of valid points among other things about our own people no respecting our country. It is still the country of opportunity but those from afar come to enjoy it and those here don't want to work if it takes them away from their pleasures.

A very nice poem with good advice. As I see it the world has become very polarized and every person/organization is pushing their own agendas. I see very few politicians who put country before party.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. Yes, maybe it is the whole world and not just America but I find it to be an alarming trend. Those who would like to see our democracy fail had likely contributed to the polarization.

A poem that carries a message of hope and optimism for the land of the free, America, while reminding us of the many obstacles that can be encountered along that path- quite a panoramic look at the political landscape

Thank you, Zanya. I appreciate your review. It seems most people want to complain about the way things are going in our country. I don't think that is helpful.
