I agree, your poem pays tribute to the butterfly. They are such gentle creatures and symbolize transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. My favorite is the monarch. Good luck with the contest.

This poem makes me wonder if butterflies are, in fact, angelic beings. That's what a good poem does, it makes you imagine. With only 7 little words, you beautifully let your words fly high and free, where anything is possible. Just lovely!

Lovely poem in praise of butterflies. They are so beautiful and comforting, as you say. The musem where I work received an immense collection of butterflies from all over the world. There are such a variety of them, most of which we have never seen, some that will never be seen again as they are extinct.
