This story opens grimly and there is no let-up as we climb into Johnny's shoes and see the remnants of his world as he does. His mother (thankfully) will never know what's going on and his neighbors seem oblivious. You build the tension nicely to your finale. This all seems too real! Rod

I think if Putin finds out he's losing his war, his finger will be finishing everything. It's not a nice thought, but I have been wondering how a madman could be in charge of such a powerful button.
