This "rictameter" poem is reminiscent of the jail posters that were distributed in the hallways of prisons where I tried to teach criminals an alternative way through lives commenced in terrible circumstances. It may be that such a positive bit of sloganizing serves a real purpose of establishing goals for a life. However, the naive unreality of this poem's encouragements seem unlikely to inspire people who have met some part of real existence, an experience after which reaching for the stars seems preposterous.

Insults reflect what the insulter is made of. Even in the friendly environs of the FS reviews, reality needs to be honored. Literature is an art, not a spigot.
