"Will you meet me over yonder?"
Is a song I remember from church. And I feel the same as you. When it comes to reuniting with my husband. When we pass away, we have our loved ones waiting for us with loving spirits. Thank you for sharing.

Jesus will come for you when the time is right and He will accompany you to the place He has prepared for you. No need to fear Him or the journey. I enjoy your writing, with its clarity and honesty. Best wishes.

You are so good at rhyming. All of them are very natural and flow very well. I can see what's in your mind nowadays since you are 97 years old. You are doing well and the poetry is the proof.

Well done.

Just waiting, waiting for the day, the sun, you are on the way, waiting for another night, till you do all, till you say all, you will bravely face life's setting sun, and when all your time on earth is over you will cross to Jordan's other shore; well said, well done, post god speed more, share post not 4 self-joy-pride but 4 God and readers worldwide Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

You have your faith, your unwavering love for your wife, and your unfaltering sharp mind for writing your fine poems.

Your beloved wife is waiting for you, but is in no hurry because time where she is is essentially nonexistent.

Meanwhile, we who read your poems cherish you as a treasure. We are your friends, and urge you not to dwell on the clock or be fearful, as you are in the hands of God, and He knows your heart is full of love. He will summon you gently when He considers your time here complete.

Superb, and you have earned my last Six for this week. :)) -- Mike

Jaybird, This is a very nice and well written poem you have penned about Jordan's shore. You know we don't have to cross Jordan alone if we have Jesus by our side. When He is with us that is no need to fear. That is what keeps me from being fearful. I hope you have a blessed night my friend. Teri

Jaybird, you've written a melancholy sonnet that tends towards hope. While just sitting around waiting for death can be daunting, you offer a different look at things. There is hope on the other side.

Thanks for sharing,
Rhonda

Thank you for sharing your doubts and fears in this lovely sonnet. I know from your poems that you believe and your faith will keep you strong and courageous when those doubts creep in.

Blessings my friend.

Life after death. Imagine the possibilities. Three degrees of glory. What if my love is given residence in a place, I am not found worthy of? Can she visit someone on a lower plane? I am likely sure I cannot ride on another's coattail. That is somewhat bothersome, but I am told where we end up will be on par to the life led here.
