Sorry to have missed this, Rhonda dear. We look to be the same age and have identical looking sisters! A wonderful word inside this one and shows your sweet trust in the Lord. Love and blessings always,

I like your thought of life as a dance where we keep step with God. You're right; it can get ugly. Thank you for sharing this here, and best wishes to you.

In my opinion, a charmingly prophetic write smoothly and warmly presented, in complete compliance with the prompt. Best wishes in the contest with this captured memory...

Yes, your poem does tell a truth. But, I don't see any ugly dance in the artwork. Faith will help us all through the hard times.
Good luck in the contest
Keep writing and stay healthy

Joan, you?re right, there was no ugliness in the photo, but it did get that way, and I wanted sweet innocent, younger me, to know what to clung to.
Thank you so very much for the review, my friend.

The author's words are true, interesting, supportive, descriptive and
creative. I found words thought provoking and life can be really tough.
I liked the last line it is so meaningful and will help. The poem flows and
connects well. The artwork is awesome and compliments these words!

A poem with a great deal of hidden meaning. Many questions come to mind, especially around the well-chosen word "dance." We all try to dance; our skills and reactions turn our dance into a joyful or miserable experience. But never be afraid to dance again. Inspiring words!

Michael, you are so very insightful. The choice to the word, dance, was certainly not random, as well as the word "step" in the next line. Thank you for the advice on not being afraid to dance again!! You're the best!

Indeed, in the dance of life, the tricking is finding the right partner. When you waltz with love and tango with temptation, who knows, perhaps you can Foxtrot your way into heaven. :-)

Fleedle, you are so very humorous, I love it!! I definitely love to dance, as did my musician father who taught me. Waltz is definitely my favorite, so to do so with love is a great thought.

I like this poem very much. It nicely captures the mood of the poem and capture the spirit of writing to your younger self with words of wisdom from their future self.

What a little cutie you were, you must have been a daddy's girl, you should've been if you weren't. Beautiful photo, very clear, a great entry in this poetry contest, and apt entry, well. Dine, blessings Roy

On our journey through life, we do need guidance - whether it be an old-fashioned map or a GPS these days. We do have the Holy Scriptures to light our way. And if we start relying on them at an early age, we develop respect and learn to walk in step with God. And hopefully stay on track! Lovely sentiments.

Thank you so much for reviewing, June!! You absolutely captured the message in this poem. It would definitely be my message to young me, who still saw the world through the eyes of "Jesus Loves Me". He always did, but I think the dance got away from me a few times.
    Thanks again!!
