Of course, I must give you a six.... for the author, for the story, and for taking me out of my sense of doom for a moment. I simply love this story and how you carry us to a place we've never been but can feel as if we are there. It's awesome. On to the next chapter...

Hugs, Carol

Hi Sandra,

Another good chapter here. There's a nice progression through from the anguish, the lovely memory of the first meeting to the trepidation come the end part.

Determined to find out, he began to weave his way through the other guests. He had barely made it half-way across the room when she turned. Their eyes locked. His breath - the first part of this paragraph appears to not be in bold, or a slightly different font colour to the rest.

'Parhaps I should start where I've been told it all began. - Perhaps?

'Saying sorry, is simply not enough- not sure you need the comma after sorry.

Perhaps Miles could mention that this is my first vistit, - visit?

All the best
G

And another great review picking up my terrible spelling errors! I've made the corrections. Thanks so much for all of this, my friend. It's a shame I can't nominate you for every chapter!! I'm glad you liked this one. Warm hugs, my wonderful friend. :)) Sandra xx

Sandra,
This is a great installment to your story. I especially noticed how with deftness you get into your character's heads--what they are thinking and feeling. Your story has wonderful devices, like Meg and Margot.
I really enjoyed reading it.
Congratulations on number 1 story. It is well-deserved.
Good luck with all your writing,
Blessings,
Cindy

I like getting into people's heads, especially my husbands! Lol. Actually, you can add so much more information doing it that way, it's a great little tool. I'm so pleased you are enjoying my story, Cindy. I'm quickly coming to the end now. 3 chapters I think will do it. Thanks again, my friend, you really are so encouraging. Warm hugs Sandra xxx

A very suspenseful chapter. I found myself thinking about Meg's past as Margot arrived at the Crawley's house. Bessie sure plays an invisible ghost well. You'd think that Margot wouldn't want to lose her friend's ideas and thoughts, as she portrays Meg throughout these chapters.

You're right, Rosemary. Margot has benefited a lot having Bessie with her. She will be there right up until all is well again. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter, my friend. Thank you! Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

This is a great chapter, Sandra. I enjoyed reading it. You gave
reader great info to carry the story. It seems as though the end
is getting closer. It'll be interesting to find out what happens
when Meg returns to her time. You did a great job showcasing
Miles' thoughts when he first saw Meg. I liked the font and the
way they read--very descriptive. The wedding of Miles' parents
played a huge role in the whole story. I liked how you brought
that up again. Meg's locket seemed to play a big role here, too--
maybe there's more in store about it. The way you led readers
to Meg wanting to visit the home was great. I believed there
will be many new clues uncovered in the process.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Hi, Jan, sorry for taking so long to reply, we wanted to get out early to do our shopping as it is uncommonly hot here! I hate it!

I know there is something I'm missing, some little something that is about to come into play right before my nose. But what? For the life of me, I just can't seem to pull it out. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, Ric. All will become clear soon. I realised I'd not made one part very clear and I've edited it now. Oh for the life of the perfect author! Is there such a thing? Lol I'll be editing this at least a dozen more times when the book is finished, my favourite job ... NOT! Thanks my friend. Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

I feel so bad for Miles. Having to tell Meg what his parents did must have been awful. He wouldn't know that Margot already knew a lot, and he might think she wouldn't want to marry him any more.

Well, Miles continues to impress me. He really is a good man. I guess that may mean his parents were different when they were young, before jealousy crept in and ruined one heart after another. Very good idea. One of the deadly sins. Not the first time it has brought about ruin and a good story.

What a lovely review, Lancellot, thank you so much. Jealousy is an awful thing, and once bitten, it stays. As you say, it's not the first time it has ruined a relation. I'm so glad you are enjoying my story. There aren't many chapters to go. Thank you for the golden star, my friend, that is so nice of you, and I do appreciate them. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Hello Sandra,
We saw the play Hamilton a few years ago, and the major song and theme was "In the room where it happened." So, I'm expecting something big in the next chapter. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't commit suicide, but was another victim. LOL

This is another marvelous chapter with very good character development
as we learn about Meg/Margot and Miles, their early relationship and love and concern for each other.

Now all eyes and ears will be tuned in to find out about that room.
Well done.
Best wishes.
Robert

Lol! That would be interesting, wouldn't it? What if it turned out that Gwendolyn had been there and poisoned Lord Crawley after having a torrid affair with him and then he'd dumped her! Lol!! You always put ideas into my head, Robert!
Thank you for another fabulous review, and the golden star. I always appreciate them. I don't know if I've ever told you, but sometimes you come out with something that completely changes where I was going ... Not this time, though!!! Humongous hugs, dear friend. :) Sandra xxx
