Hi Roy, this is just beautiful my sweet friend...
I am in tears...

my heart goes out to her family...and friends...
and to her beloved husband...she admired and loved
dearly...may God ease their pain...

she was such a talented writer...and a wonderful friend
to so many...and will be so very missed...I hate when we
lose a member of our FanStory family...through our writings
we get to know and love each other dearly...

I am heartbroken...I know she now is Resting In Peace...
and is now with God...it doesn't get better than that Roy...
and in God's time her and Stan will reunite...until then
God will watch over him...and her family and friends...

Death and time together and separately, threaten to claim us all. We can leave here with few if any taking any note of our passing. We can leave here and as we go, leave a multitude of mourners, weeping and beating their chests in sorrow. Dear Gert will be missed in such a manner. I will miss her wonderful output going forward until it is my own time to depart this life.

Death is the unpleasant part of God's gift, Life. But if one is right with the Lord, it can be the highlight of our life. It sounds like Gert is in that group.

I love that this is about the fading to peace of the flame, but that the flame is no longer required, and what's faced is a gentle and fulfilling sensation of completion. This was a very fitting piece, Roy.

This is a befitting verse in remembrance of your dear friend.
The carefully selected words and phrasing will give comfort to those grieving. They may also feel uplifted by them as well. I did not know her, but judging by the posts I have read this evening, she was admired and loved.
