Starting of with a crocus fighting the elements and then weaving it into a strong woman who fights for the rights of others. Excellent lesson and one of your best poems! K XX

This is an effective format to convey the themes addressed in this poem. Why I say this is because of the refrain and it reads somewhat like an ode, or celebration of a life.
Poignant writing. Sparkling in your lines: words of adoration to someone dear and the qualities that prevail.
My favourite line: A crocus in the snow, she blooms, despite the cold and hard terrain. This gives the image of resilience and beauty.

I'm glad you enjoyed this poem! My mother was a strong woman who came to America with my dad two weeks before I was born - so that we would have a better life. She inpsired me with her strength and courage. Thanks for reading and for the generous stars!
