Thank you Janet, just like you my friend. When I decided to do this, I made a list of all of you that I just love and it was so big that I will have to do this contest at least two or three more times. Everyone is having so much fun that I believe we're all winners, even the reviewers, as it's more like a team than competition. So thank you my friend for reading, reviewing and for the kind words, as always!

'Nice' is a tough word to use functionally. It can be defined and it has plentiful synonyms. However, 'nice' usually conveys a desire to say something positive about something that's pretty ordinary.
"My Beloved FS Friends" is a nice poem, and it pays tribute to ten online friends who have shared their own writing and their own comments with the poem's author. I can't say anything bad about that without sounding ogre-ish. It's not a brilliant poem, it's nice. And I think nice is closest to good; it's a butter knife, not the scalpel that's involved in excellent or exceptional poetry.

Now Frank, that wasn't very nice. JK! Your still on my list of favorite people anyway. However Nice is something we all need in our lives. And do I think that my poem is of my normal capacity? No, I wasn't up to it at the time, but as far doing something nice and trying to bring some joy to lots of people I guess I was feeling pretty good about that. Thanks my friend for reading and your nice review. ; )

Sometimes I revile myself, Debi. I really find that writing reviews can be at odds with a natural amiability. It's great to have people read what I've written, to take my lumps and plaudits and try to remain both good-willed and serious about writing. I'm not sure the two are compatible.Anyway, I thank you for your generous good will. Frank

And if you read my poem called godfather perhaps you'd understand a little more about why my heart needs to turn out good will even when I feel off for writing or ill from my Lupus. Without being there for others and a loving heart for all, I lose my zest for life. You are as important to me as anyone on here so you can't fool me w your rough exterior because I see right through you. You're a terrific guy, who needs that sunshine as much as anyone. I've waited so long to do this for me, so I will take a few lumps because they are deserving at times. But do I believe that all these traits are compatible and can they all succeed together, yes. If you asked my kids they would say thanks to FS for rescuing them from all this love that gushes and oozes out of their mom. So I am who I am & what I seem to be. After being cheated out of a childhood and not great health, God has rewarded me with a big heart that can't express enough love for others. So I will take my bumps and my praise when deserved and continue to believe they can all work together. I just won't settle for less because I know I deserve that. As you do my dear friend! So doing this contest was important to me and has brought joy to so many who are just having fun with it. I am so thankful to God for leading me here to you and so many others. Thanks for listening my friend!

You have tackled the enormous endeavor of paying tribute of some of the MANY worthy members of Fan Story--and done a great job! Your well-written stanzas salute a wide range of poet and talents. I know who some of them are--I think.

Actually Wendy I thought you did too, but maybe I am thinking of your poem.
It really has been fun, hasn't it? I have enjoyed reading and guessing every one else's and even read the reviews to see who people were guessing.
They are all so wonderful that I will be thrilled with who ever takes this contest, as I believe everyone is a winner; writers, recipients of their poems and even the reviewers, as they are telling how excited they are for the results. I will be sending a message to everyone asking that they copy and paste their poem and put it in authors notes with their answer when contest is over. Then also copy it to a spot I will have reserved in thoughts, so will let everyone see them all together. It should be really easy to do.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this as much as I did and will do it again soon.

I hope it looks better now since it was somehow in prose format before but Tom changed it because it was listed as a story.

It looked fine to me. And yes, we are all winners for sure. Such a HAPPY and positive contest! Would it be easier if people re-posted the poems with a name under each stanza or beside the final line in brackets. Might be easier than scrolling up to poem and down to the Author's notes time and again.

Thanks Erica and it truly has been fun, hasn't it? This is one contest that I believe everyone is a winner; writers, recipients of the poems and even the reviewers as they have all truly gotten on board and been excited for results.
It feels more like a group feel more than a competition. The poems have all been so wonderful and will be thrilled w whoever takes it.

Oh Teri, thank you for your lovely words and for your gracious six stars.
When I first thought of.starting this prompt, I thought it might not go so well.
But l am seeing everyone have so much fun, from the writers to the recipients and even the reviewers as it is still a guessing game. But after the contest ends we will all put them in our author's notes and l will probably start a thread from the contest page that everyone can look at. As I said in my Poem that ten people wasn't enough so I will do It a few more times to let all our fav ones know how we feel. I already have some like yours written, but hard to pick when list is so long. This is one contest that everyone ends up a winner! Btw; in case you didn't see my last poem which is a senryu to tell the daring along w the good, I am now known as a compulsive talker on the site. Lol, I think you all knew that already.
