It's interesting reading these entries for the Surprise Poem FS Friends contest. Your poems are well-crafted. However, I would have thought the whole point was to try and hide who you're writing about. Giving the sex of the subject away is a key clue... Kate xx

I would need to change all pronouns too. Most of the others are using gender-identifying pronouns. The trick is to give sufficient information to allow people to have a chance at guessing, but not make it too easy either. Thank you for reviewing. Always appreciated.

No. It couldn't be me. There are some things that match but not enough I think. I am just not that good. Lol. I would like to be. I am often misunderstood not so much by Australians an New Zealanders but frequently by some of the Americans.

Lol. You definitely are that good. Any ideas about who they could be? I am sure you can guess at least a couple of them. A fun prompt, working out how to be not too general - specific enough without giving it away too easily.

Your excellent poem illustrates that one can make friends long distance without ever meeting. I too admire many friends on Fanstory, but couldn't quite capture my feelings in a poem.
