I count exactly 20 syllables and a fine entry for the contest. I especially like the alliteration with all the "a" words, and the consonance with l's.

I like this poem that brought out all my senses, visual, sound and smell. I love the last two lines. It sounded very fluid, and I can smell the appl pie. The alliteration helps.

My daughter's apple tree looks just like this and her apples have been wonderful all summer long. I have made pies and I have eaten so many of them, your Autumnal poem brings the summer season to an end Zanya, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

This is a good mix of poem and picture. I can almost smell the fresh apples. It is sad the the beauty and crispness of Autumn lasts such a short time.
