I like what you have written but yearn to know why she decided to cross the pathway and snapped additional photographs. I believe you left room for the sage to continue.

Maybe she did! You've captured a short story in these few words, leaving the reader to wonder who and why, and even where she was. Best wishes for your entry.

This is an excellent short story for the contest
with a nice reference to fanstory and fanart.
We'll have to watch to see if the photos show up.

You chose a good topic for your story. Good description of the tree the photographer was capturing from various angles. The detail and steps she took are very good.

I would make the last line make more of an impact by showing rather than telling.
