A very well-written and brilliant poem reflects on how our memories are part of our story. We can never separate or leave them.
I enjoyed reading.
Best wishes

Comment from K.L. Rockquemore
I enjoyed this poem reflecting on the many memories one has throughout their lifetime.
Lovers, lost love, and friendships to name a few.
I love the metaphors used, they put your writing into perspective and encourage the reader to participate through their own lens and interpret the sentiment.
Your phraseology is excellent as is your ability to "word paint."
I appreciate the overall presentation,
thank you for sharing.

This poem is so beautiful and well written. This poem shows how much power our memories can have that we can not always break away from them. Whether that is good or bad is up for debate.

Simply gorgeous, Yelena!
I appreciate the visual imagery coupled with the emotive.
One thought to consider: the arrow get (gets) our wounds to open up again...
Thank you for sharing!
All my best!

"Our mem'ries are exploding in our ears,
they roar, demand and never disappear."
How true are your words. How often our mind brings up the past, with things we enjoy remembering and things we would like to forget.

-Nice artwork and presentation, EM.
-A good sonnet with a good topic.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-The first verse is very good, with
the comparisons showing how
memories are haunting you.
-A good follow up in the second verse
showing how our memories can be stored,
but the volta goes in another direction as
you feel "the searing pain" from memories
that return even stronger than before.
-A good closing couplet shows the impact very well.
-Thanks for sharing it.

I love this poem for its reflections.
Sparkling in your poem:
-It is almost musical, and the sonography you get is quite impressive.
-A strong, reflective voice.
-History and philosophical references work extremely well in your poem
My favourite line for the image and sound effects: Our memories are exploding in our ears, they roar, demand and never disappear.
Very nice work.

I have read a few grief filled poems this morning and I wrote one myself too, I am wondering what is in the air! Your sonnet is skilfully written, well metered and rhymed and I felt the pain of grief within. This haunting poem hits home, love Dolly x

Comment from jake cosmos aller
a nice poem about memories of lost love and lost opportunites. I like the picture of a sailing ship it fits the mood of the poem. the last two stanzas are most effective.
