Debi,
This is a cute poem abot the travails of Christmas chores. It sound like he gets the easiest part. Though isn't it really your money not just his.
My husband and I do the right internet shopping together from lists we get and then I wrap them.

Joan, thanks for the awesome review and comments. Actually I ask my kids for ideas for them and grandkids, and I order everything online as I haven't been in a store for years. Then my daughters do help me wrap some, but my husband is terrible at wrapping, so I'd rather he snooze. And yes it's both of our money, but lol, real life isn't always funny. Thanks again my dear friend!

You're welcome, Debi. We ask for lists on Thanksgiving to be emailed or texted to use within the week. When they have all arrived, I wrap. My husband is a bad wrapper too.
    Have a great weekend.

This fine poem reads like a Christmas card. What an amazing presentation, and I adore your text font and the artwork.

You are blessed with a great family, and I can see how much you love giving presents to them. Great imagery, visuals and presentation.

One of the best poems I read in a while.

My dear friend, you are so very sweet. This was only part true, because if you saw my husband's wrapping, you'd see why I'd really rather he just keep snoozing.haha! However it was true tho that he did get the bill! : )
Thank you my dear friend for your very kind review and comments!
And I truly appreciate your very gracious gift of six stars! You are such a special friend!

Debi, you make me feel like I'm listening to my wife. She bought presents, wrapped them, cooked the Christmas dinner and cleaned up afterwards.
She loved Christmas. The only shopping I did was for her. Very nice poem, Debi. The wives are the real head of the family, God bless all of you. Willie

Willie, you are one of the sweetest men on this site and I treasure your friendship dearly! I love that your wife and I are the same in that way.
I actually do all my shopping online as I haven't been in a store in many years, due to having Lupus which crippled me. However I find joy in all that I can do, including wrapping the Christmas presents for all of my family and of course my poetry! My husband too only wraps mine and he does so many other things for me that I don't mind that he snoozes. However real life isn't always funny, Y'know?
So I thank you for your very kind review and lovely words. I truly appreciate your very generous six stars, more than you could possibly know!

The author's words were delightful to read! I smiled a lot throughout
the poem. I loved the last line! I found these words filled with details
and expressed well. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork
is awesome and compliments both the theme and words of this poem.

Maria, you are very sweet. I saw that there was one last place in this contest at midnight and took it, not looking to see that the deadline was in 3 hours until after I reserved it. So even tho this was only part true, (f you saw my husband's wrapping, I really rather he just keep snoozing) it was true that he did get the bill! Lol
Thank you my dear friend for your very kind review and comments!

I am laughing!!! Ah, the truth hurts though, doesn't it? It is so often the woman of the house shopping and wrapping and signing tags, forming ribbon into bows...

At LEAST your honey got the bills!

(How great would it be to sit by the fire with a hot chocolate and listen to him snipping paper and grumbling while checking lists???)

We say "Ho-Ho-Ho!!"

Do we get help? "No-No-No!"

Love this!

Karenina

Hello Miss Karenina! As always you are very sweet. The picture was from last Christmas when I gave all the books that I told you about. As you can see there were lots of them to wrap.
Thank you my dear friend for your very kind review and comments!

Lol. That is cute. And isn't it the truth? The mom is always the one who does all the planning, buying and giftwrapping. But these days I let Amazon do a lot of it - which includes the mailing! Best wishes in the contest!

Thanks so much Helen for the very kind review and comments for my part real life, and part fiction Christmas. My husband attempts to wrap his gift for me and he doesn't have the knack for it so I would rather he snoozes. However, lol, he does get the bill! Real life just isn't that humorous, Y'know?
The picture is of my last tree w the gifts before my family's Christmas Eve together. If you look you can see the books that I had made for everyone in the entire family; husband, children, their spouses, grandbabes, my parents, siblings, my best friend, and a few prayers. I had written poems for everyone, throughout the years, put their poem and photos of them from all their years past. They had 2 large 12x12 pages each and I named the book,
"Expressing Love for my Family with my Prayers, Poems and Pictures. Then put our latest family photo in the middle of the cover.w the words on top and bottom. It was my main item in my bucket list and I finished it in time to give everyone a copy for Christmas. There was so much joy from all of them that it was worth all the hard work and expense. I feel so good about it,
Ok I think I really am the gabbiest person here but it was the perfect time to tell you about them as you can see some of them under the tree.
And after telling a few others here, they were going to do it for their family as well.
Lol, thanks for not running away when you see me coming. : )

I love this seasonal and witty verse, and yes it did make me smile:))
I love the presentation, boy that's a lot of presents !!!!
Personally, I love Christmas, probably my favorite holiday, so this brings back
fond childhood memories as well as all the memories my husband and
I have made for our kids.
The only difference is that my husband likes to do all of the wrapping!!!
Thanks for sharing.

Well Kitty, you get the Best Wife award for having a husband who will wrap presents! I have been waiting a long time to hear about one dear soul like him..Actually I have seen my hubby wrap my gifts and I would rather he just snooze. Lol! Thank you also for such a lovely review and comments regarding my poem.

like the snarky loving humor about buying a perfect present for someone who is hard to please. Like the cursive flowing script too and love the last line.

At seventy-three I remain free from Christmas extravaganzees with only a wife and two daughters, neither having any progeny of their own, which I find peachy keen. Pray your still feeling better.

Thanks Tom. I think! It seems everyone believes all that I write about ,but when it comes to ones that are supposed to be funny, it's hard to tell the boring truth! However he does pay the bill. I do appreciate your fun review as I haven't heard the phrase peachy keen in a coons age. I am doing better each day and getting ready for round two in 3 weeks. Hope you saw your honorable mention in my FS poem. .

This is a good entry to the "Make me Laugh" contest. It is relatable for most women. The last line is like the punchline in a joke. Because you used a cursive font, I would make it one notch larger. The visual is perfect, but I would use typical Christmas colors for the presentation background and font color~ red, green and white and gold. Good luck in the contest, so far you are winning.

Thanks so much Sandra. I really appreciate your review, comments and feedback as you are always so helpful! However this one I think the font is almost too big already, unless you were talking about the last line but I feel making it any bigger would bring the eyes down there before they read the poem. And I like to save the Christmas colors for Christmas and blended w the star and a few presents instead and am ok w that but thank you. Also, most of this was fiction except I do have many gifts to wrap, but I have seen my husband try to wrap and I would rather he do other things for me. Lol! But what was not fiction is he does get the bill. hehe!
    Thanks again my friend!

You are welcome. Yeah, I have bad eyes that's why I always comment on font size. Understand about the colors and you are a "smart and lucky one" to have the last line as your truth.
