I'm glad you have continued this written epitaph of sorts. It is appropriate for others to know more of her life & accomplishments. She a great love for Vermont and the mountains. I think it was said, You can take the girl out of Vermont mountains but you can't the mountains of Vermont out of the girl.

Gert knew that phrase well. They were in Florida at one time but they had to return to Vermont! I will send the book contents to Stan tomorrow. Thanks for reviewing, Liz! Hugs!

As a slow learner, I didn't know of Gert's passing. It doesn't seem possible as not more than a week or so ago she replied to my review and asked if there was anything I wanted her to read. The only Fanstorian who ever asked if there was anything I wanted her to read, and she did it regularly. An example of her sweetness. She'll be missed by many as she sits by the right hand of God giving directions on those streets of gold. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it was shocking. She passed away 8/6 and I was preparing to celebrate her birthday instead of writing a tribute after her Homegoing. Thanks again, Ric. Hugs!
