This is a perky poem, a fun description of a life full of joy. I like the rhymes you used, and the fact that you approach life 'full speed ahead.' Love the ending lines, too. Beautiful photo! Best wishes in the contest.

This is a good "As I Am writing" prompt. The rhyme scheme is fine. The info is good, but you didn't tell us anything that we don't already know from your profile. The visual is great. You have wonderful full and lush hair. Good luck in the contest.

What a great way to share with us a glimpse of who you are, what you do, what you love, and what moves you. You used the word, "gusto" in an earlier thread with me today. I had no idea it was your trademark.
Your poetry is excellent. A clear and concise theme, tightly focused content, smooth and natural flow, strong and descriptive word choices, efficient and strategic word usage, a steady 7-count rhythm, flawless rhyming pattern (abcb), and unforced rhyme make for a great poem. Well done!
I like your bookends starting with "teaching and performing music" and ending with a musical term, "massimo robusto" and was impressed with how many aspects of your life you were able to cover in between (teaching children, singing, dancing, performing, real estate, marriage, anti-retirement, practice, writing, and competing) with maximum gusto.
Excellent work, my friend. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I am delighted to hear that my review was helpful. Thank you so much for the reviewer nomination. Reviewing excellent work (like yours) may be my favorite part of the FS experience as I enjoy and am engaged by the left-brained, analytical side of literature (literary elements, structure, development of plot, setting, and characters, etc.) and poetry (theme, content, flow, word choice and usage, rhythm, meter, rhyme, etc.) as much as the right-brained, creative side.
In a sentence, when my heart recognizes something great, my head instantly want to figure out why that is and what makes it great.
If you are in a rush and want to delete the "here are two paragraphs more than you ever cared to know about Curt" section, that leaves us with a simple and singular thought; Thanks for the reviewer nomination. I appreciate it.
