Stunning multi-medical drama--gripping. You bring your ornery father to vivid life--superb work as to character development in general. You were superwoman!

How long did Even live with a pacemaker? I have been working in the pacemaker and defibrillator industry for almost 30 years so I know exactly what you are talking about. Did you have ablation? How is your heart doing?

Keep telling the stores

My Dad only lived another a year but he was 87 and had other problems. My daughter has had a pace maker at least twenty which she got when she was about 28. She's had in changed our once and she forgets it is there. I never had the oblation. I found a tiny tablet that works to keep me from having the palpitations. I haven't had that happen in about seven years.

You're a stubborn woman, Beth--shying away from the surgery for your heart. Just like your father, I guess. Thanks for sharing these family stories and I hope all is well.

Thank you Ted. I'm not convinced doctors have all the answers. Later someone suggested I try a drug called Atenolol. I found a 25mm tablet once a day keeps me from having those. My prescription cost one dollar a month. I haven't had palpitations for over 7 years, but I did have a friend die during the ablation process. I may be stubborn, but I've found it pays to be involved in your own health care. I also avoided a hysterotomy, and knee replacement recommended by doctors.

The trouble when we start to age, certain parts seem to need maintenance like an old car, but I guess as long as the motor is healthy the peripheral things can be managed, glad to see there's a lull in the kid's worlds at the moment. Beautifully written Beth, thank you, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy, I truly appreciate your review. Yes we all get peripheral things as we age but if we're lucky, they can be managed.
