Rachelle, I could actually see you trying to scoot out the door, while being a little thankful that you had no memory of the night before. Of course I know this is fiction, but you told the story so well that it was so easy to envision the uneasy and horror in the reaction of the whole experience. Awesome job Rachelle!

This was extremely funny. I loved the mental walk of shame! The monologue bits really got me. I especially chuckled at the missing link sentence. Your voice reminds me of the one I have in my head! I would love to read more about this particular character.

I think that's as nice a comment as a reviewer could make: could we please have another round with this character. Thank you for making my night.

Oh my gosh. You just played out an entire scene in a cheap porno, for us all to enjoy and regret. Even being a man, I have had those "regret" mornings too. You would think the man is always smiles the morning after, not so. There are those "what did I do" mornings for guys as well as there are for gals.

Very entertaining and almost too realistic.

hahaha. One reviewer double-checked that it was fiction. (I assured her it was.) It's good to know that men are as susceptible to the regret mornings as we are. Thanks for a delightful review.

This is so funny....and I have a feeling it may have an ounce (or so) of actual experience. From your profile one would think you are the model of sophistication...which I'm sure you are....but it's nice to know there's a great sense of humor and a more earthy existence underneath.

No morning-after experience, but the hairy part I, sadly, do know. Thank you for thinking I'm sophisticated, but I just dress that part. Very close to the surface, I'm still a Kindergartener through and through. Thanks for a wonderful review.

This a great contest entry, and best of luck with it. I just wrote about a college gal who's been getting drunk and having sex with men she doesn't know. This is a great example of what will happen to her when she goes out in the world. Great description of Enzo. I'm with the narrator about the hairy men. He is such a happy-go-lucky guy. I love the ending with Enzo looking for another likely prospect to make "hubba hubba playtime" with. That surely means he won't bother the narrator anymore. Highly entertaining story. judi

Yes, I'm pretty sure the narrator is free to go and learn from her lesson in peace. Enzo will always find someone to have hubba-hubba playtime with!!

Thanks for the nice review...and your generous extra star, as well. Always so appreciated. xo

This story about the night after was very entertaining! Your narrator was likable and the situation was funny. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Hahaha, Rachelle, I loved that ending. The good Enzo was not as lost as he made her believe. It's well written, quick and to the point. Good luck in the contest. Ulla:)))

Seemed good lesson learned from this night after nightmare the protagonist wants no part of. Some Notes:

-"meringue that's been pummeled by a toddler" paints a clear image of not just what the sheet looked like, but also how the protagonist felt.

-The protagonist knew she had to "make like a tree and leave". No telling what she may have already done with Mr. Caterwauler.

Apparently not the kind of night after she wanted to remember.

Rachelle,

This is exceptional. Being somewhat of a Yankee prude, I do so hope this is entirely fiction. I loved the way you turned him into a poodle and how you made it absolutely clear that neither of the characters had any delusions about lasting love. Well done!

Sue

That was so funny, Rachelle, I laughed my socks off. The description of his hairy body, was simply hysterical. I think I'd give up on the booze if I woke up to a sight like that. And his demonstration of her hip movements! The only down side - or upside, is that she didn't remember all that 'hubba-hubba playtime! LOL! Excellent, my friend, a fabulous contest entry. Well done and good luck! :)) Sandra xxx
