I wish I had a six for this little jewel. It does sound a lot like my life these days. Lots of pills and memory loss. I know why the good ole days come so readily. You can't remember yesterday, so you have to remember something. Have a great afternoon. Shirley

These were very entertaining. I guess they are sum up pretty good what might go on in the life of the rocking chaire generatiion. We might as well laugh at getting old because the alternative is dying young and that is at all funny.

You're sense of humour has shone through again, Terry! I love all this silly references to how our lives change as we become older. Sometimes our minds take longer to catch up to our bodies. lol Well done.

Thank you for making me smile. Grandchild's questions and grandfather's answers were gems .It was a kind of sweet and sad experience for me.Transitioning from having people depending on one to depending on others ...I liked this very much

Hello Terry,
This was hilarious. I so wish I had a six, as I feel it's certainly worthy, but they only give us six of the damn things and there is so much good writing on here. I hate to short change people for their good work. I hope I never get a chance to experience life in an assisted living facility, but I can sure relate to a lot of the other issues. Great sense of humor. Thanks for sharing this. Congratulations on the All Time Best award. Well deserved.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

This was so interesting to read. It was funny and insightful. I've always wondered what it's like for people in senior living places. I pictured it as kind of like college. Meeting all kinds of people you wouldn't normally meet. Hearing all kinds of stories. Making friends. Reflecting on life.

These are a riot. And a couple are endearing. Since you mention room numbers, I'm thinking the speakers are in an assisted living place. My favorite line is the answer to the worst thing about growing old:"Sarah, it is transitioning from having people depending on me to me depending on people."

A good script for sure in a story form. As we get older, we do think about things more seriously. You sure have brought up some good thoughts in this writing, that are so true.

My last six goes to you for this absolutely hilarious, realistic view of a view from a rocking chair (aka the elderly among us remembering our lives). I also like how you mixed the people, and ages, of those around you that you spoke to - it adds different perspectives.

What a treat to start my weekend. Well done!
