What goes around, comes around. We don't know what we would do without our kids and especially our grandkids who insist on waiting on us hand and foot.

Thank you so very much Gary for your very kind review and comments for my silly little poem. I actually only had to use a dab of dish soap on my oldest daughter, as I could have sworn she came out of my womb smarting off. Lol!

I really like the way this poem depicts the change of attitude that both parents and their children have over the years. Discipline changes, too, both in form and perception.

This is a great little Poem. It's got that incumbent irony and a little humour to make it a very spicy work, the humour is beautifully subtle, but the progressive narrative is cleverly arranged to contain that humanity that besets us all. A very clever post, that really resonates. Smoothly and cleverly rhymed, with great articulation, well done, Blessings Roy

Haha, you described well the way kids can wrap their little fingers
round adults from such a young age, Mystery Author. Your examples
were all great. Who hasn't heard the I'll wash your mouth out with
soap?' I've heard many parents speak of how they can hardly wait
til their kids have kids of their own. They just know those now
grown kids will here/do the same things they did to their parents.
You ended on a positive note. I believe you and hubby taught your
kids well. Now it's their turn to look after Mom & Dad. Your poem
had a great rhyme scheme with an excellent monorhyme ending
verse. The image was a perfect addition.
