This Armageddon story did something such stories should not do: It made me chuckle. I love the tongue-in-cheek humor as the Narrator tells us about her unexpected shopping spree with her fabulously rich mother-in-law. You plant your clues so cleverly with the recurring tick, tick, tick refrain. Beautifully crafted with stunning details and word choices (e.g. the description of the make-up lady). Rod

This very nice. I think based all the immaculate details, that this will especially be relevant with the female readers and voters. Those members will really understand the character's feelings.

I think you're right...though I have to say, the first reviewer was a man who claims we share a mother-in-law, and he bestowed six stars. So I'm hoping that's a harbinger of this story's appeal to both genders! Thanks for the review.

Okay, everyone, listen up! The flash fiction story "Armeggedon" is FUNNY! If you don't enjoy this story, you have no sense of humor. I don't know how the Author and I can have the same mother-in-law, but that is beside the point.
