What a wonderful poem to keep us updated about Jesse's condition. Your well-worded couplets uplifts the reader and this courageous man too. To be able to walk again once he works with a therapist will make both him and FS fans happy.

Thanks Janet! I actually haven't heard from Jesse yet, as the info that I gave was pretty much the standard way that I recently found out myself that they do things. I keep checking to see if he has messaged me yet, because I thought that maybe I would hear by today. I hope that means he's resting and I will let you know when I hear something. Thanks Janet and I know he will be so touched by yours and others heartfelt comments and prayers!

Thanks for all your heartfelt words for Jesse and although I have yet to hear from him, I'm hoping he is resting and healing as we speak. Thanks also for the kind words for my poem.

My Mum had a knee replaced a few years ago and, though it took a few weeks, she was up and about and soon got back to her favourite hobby of rambling.

Thanks so much Mike. Actually I haven't heard from Jesse as of yet, but hoping its because he is relaxing and maybe a little still under the influence of the anesthesia. I just know the procedure because I just had my leg reconstructed that was destroyed by Lupus. I haven't walked in years either and have actually been working so hard with home health care and physical therapy since and will be having the next one on the 12th. I am so excited as they think I will be walking for good by Christmas, so of course it only felt right to support Jesse with his knee. He will be so happy to read all the well wishes and the heartfelt messages. It may even help out the healing process. Thanks again Mike and I will let you know when I hear about Jesse.

Now that would be wonderful, wouldn't it. Jesse and I have a funny type of agreement to agree to disagree. He doesn't care for the spiritual part, but I told him that he can't stop me for praying for him. He is really a good guy and was touched when I offered to be his contact. I keep checking but I am sure he will let us know when he is feeling up to it. I know he will love reading yours and all the other wonderful comments that everyone else has given.

Thanks so much Loraine for your kind words for Jesse and also my poem for him. I had this ready for him before he even went into surgery and had another poem started for the contest. I wasn't able to finish the other one as my husband was rushed to the hospital yesterday with blood clots. He will be ok, but the doctors were astonished that it didn't take him. So I was hoping people wouldn't mind that I used Jesse's poem for the contest. Sorry to be so long winded but I just needed to tell someone and you are such a sweet friend. Thanks again my friend.

The contest is blind, but I recognize my friends' style of writing. I hope your husband is okay. I know what it is like to have your spouse rushed to the hospital. I also share having an autoimmune disorder. I've always been uncomfortable sharing personal life experiences, but joined FanStory and find that many writers express their feelings and thoughts. There are two writers here that have been encouraging me to loosen up and write. So for now I'll just say, you and I have things in common, and I wish you the best.

But God gave me a need to reach out to you today for a reason. I understand your need either way to disclose or not. But l found that when l learned to write about those feelings, I felt such a release of pain in my soul. Hard to explain. However everyone has there own experiences that make the difference on those decisions. Just let me say, I am always here if you ever feel like sharing.
