I believe that an integral part of healing is the very good wishes of those who show you love, pat you on the back, kiss you on your cheek, and do all that they know how to do in order to let you know they care. With that level of encouragement and love, you do not dare let anybody down. Good poem, I enjoyed it so much, it made me feel better.

Thank so much Nomi. When I heard that Jesse also hadn't walked for a while and was having a new knee put in, I thought it only right to reach out to him to be a support. Although ours are different circumstances and different procedures, I offered to be his contact and let everyone know. He was very touched, but I haven't heard from him yet. I will be doing my second surgery in September so the support was good for both of us. Thanks my friend for the kind words for my poem and the support for Jesse. He will enjoy reading everyone's thoughtful words and well wishes.

Oh Gretchen I thank you so much, and I am sorry but no word yet from Jesse, but I asked if he would like me to be a contact and let others know how he was doing and he seemed to be so touched that everyone would care. Believe me I set him straight on that. Lol! Y'know you'd have to search high and low to find another group that is as caring as we all are for each other. God sure blessed us all when He led us all to FS. Thanks my dear friend and Jesse will love reading all the wonderful comments.

Hello, Mystery Writer,
In a world that is often apathetic and indifferent regarding the suffering of others, it is refreshing that you would choose to publically alert FanStory member of Jesse's surgery.
Jesse and I have discussed the fears and challenges surrounding his surgery as well; I have undergone two TKR, and, thankfully, have no complaints - except my husband always checks on me as I garden, for we live on a bluff, and he fears I am going to roll down the hill, and he will have to rescue me!
Hoping to hear from Jesse as well...

Hi Diane. I first started supporting Jesse as I haven't walked in years due Lupus destroying both legs and knees, and had my first leg reconstruct and knee in July and on the 12th will be having another. So I thought I too could help him, just like you. When I offered to be a contact for him, I think he was so touched and even wondered why people would care. He will now know that everyone cares and, especially his beloved friends like you and Helen. One thing about this place, you don't have to look far to see the love that we all have for most everyone. There are a few that I don't know, but hopefully someday will. Thanks so much my dear friend and you will all be hearing from me again soon.

A very well-written poem. I have been praying for him, and hope to hear soon how his operation went. The therapy will doubtless be painful, and at times discouraging, but if he can walk again, how wonderful! And worth it all.

Hi Karenina, I still haven't heard from Jesse, but I hope that is because he is still kind of under the influence. Lol! He will be happy to read all the heartfelt messages, so I thank you so much my sweet friend.

I have PM'd him a couple times because we had it planned that he would contact me by at least the second day, so I may start to worry if I don't hear by tomorrow.

Thank you for letting me know. I'll ask if anyone else heard. I know he isn't always on Fanstory and probably doesn't use his phone when away from home like we do.
