Hi Mike,
Great character names in this story. They've been washed, round and round and round. Then spun at break-neck speed... dizzy! Now they're hung outside to drip excess water out. Poor Stinky, hung upside-down by his toes!
The cuddly bears are busily talking about their ordeal, so relieved it's over. But then comes the gist of the story, the horror of it for those freaked-out bears... their punishment isn't over! They're fate awaits in a hot bouncing dryer! What a terrific way to end the story, Mike. Just when they thought it was over. The nightmare is about to begin again.
Nicely penned! No matter they're wailing, "AAAAAaaahhh!"
Alfred Hitchcock would have enjoyed directing this one.
Cheers,
Kimbob

First of all I love the characters' name and how they relate to the plot. It is a dilemma for some & a joy for some. I can see why Stinky would mind it. He'll be a hanging juxtaposition. I wonder if that's anything like a dangling modifier? This is hilarious.
Is it an allusion to 'the elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor?' A+

Oh, this is a charming group of furry friends.

I found it this to be entertaining and a very clever plot.
Not one wants to be put through the ringer and hung out to dry. Others just cannot take the heat.

Sparkling in your poem:
-Your characters, their names, their personalities and points of view. Readers will wonder where they are going to end up next.

A delightful read. Very nice.

Well, those little stuffed animals have feelings, too, Mike.
I enjoyed your fun little story. You told it well using the POV
of each character. The picture is adorable. You made Stinky
a favorite of mine.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Not in any contest? It's a great one for a children's story. We all know that toys and teddies can talk, and I feel their pain - first being hung out to dry, then the prospect of the fryer! Lol. Well written, great fun.

This is hilarious. No one should have complained about hanging on the line in the sun. It beats going in the hot dryer. They will never be the same when they come out. I put my daughter's stuffed animals in the dryer when she was young. Even with dryer sheets to make things soft, the fur was stiff. She didn't care. She loved them anyway.

I suppose the truth is we don't think of these poor bears in their material costumed, how would we like to be stuck in a drier, not too much I suspect, well done, blessings Roy

I like how you gave the stuffed animals personalities here. Very human like. The funniest line was when the one tells the other his stuffing didn't make it to his head. I think it really is a commentary on how people react to disconcerting circumstances and uncertain futures and how they interact with each other and seek to outmanuever each other for social standing. estory

I've never thought of putting stuffed toys in the wash, but it isn't a bad idea. They get pretty soiled after they are played with a while. This is cute story with you giving them all a voice to express their feeling about being hung out to dry.
