Rod,
Your beautifully serene poem reminds me I've some places I've been.
You describe he dawn as being peaceful and quiet.--no birds chirping.
Your poem flows and gives wonderful images.
Good luck.
Blessings,
Cindy

Lovely poem Rod. Brings back memories of a place I used to hike to when I was a bit younger. A great effort. Keep safe and have a great day.

This is one of the best poems I've read at FanStory-for poetic technique, for atmosphere, for imagery, for word choice. That same peace of mind calls to me as well, and I find some in your poem.

This is a good entry to the rhyming poem contest. The font size is great. The message is stated clearly about the need to go into nature to reconnect to calmness and to find peace of mind. I would drop the first line under the visual down a space, The visual fits fine. Good luck in the contest.

Your poem spoke to me in such an enduring and personal way. I am truly enamored by nature and it aways evokes such spiritual highs when I am out in it. Your poem is the depth of beauty that only nature can give. Beautifully done!

Hello poet,
This is a wonderful, calming poem with excellent rhymes for the contest.
A peaceful view of nature through Bierstadt's eyes and talented hands
much like Cole and Church and the other Hudson River painters.
Very well done.
Best wishes.
Robert

Thank you so much, Robert for your marvelous praise of my poem and that six-star bonus. I truly admire all the Hudson River painters, but Bierstadt taps into my emotions the most.

A beautiful rhyming poem and picture presentation. Through your words you create a serene scene and put this reader right there in Bierstadt's painting. Good luck in the contest, loved it.
Cheers

I like the glass smooth crystal clear silence in this poem.

The S alliteration works well to convey serenity and calmness.

My favourite lines: In piece of mind serenity. Yes, Bierstadts world unpeopled, calm keeps beckoning...keeps calling me.

In the midst of stillness and mute silence this world is calling out.

Very nice poem.

A wonderful entry for the writing prompt. I enjoyed reading this. After reading this I was also wishing to be there with the beauty and peace the environment gives. A piece of min and serenity is possible in that place. Well done
