What a fun prompt. You made this a fun read too but with depth and personality. All while creating a light tempo and bouncy cadence. A FUN read and nice to say the words aloud.
Two favorites...
smoochy satisfaction
completely foreign concept

Kaboom! And that, my friend, is how it's done. I love-Love-LOVED this poem, Rachelle. With no disrespect to your competitors, this is far and away the best poem in the contest. I can't believe you weren't the one with 10 votes (or more). Actually, there were only two other contenders (IMHO) and the other two garnered fewer votes than you. What's up with the voting, anyway?
The reason I love-Love-LOVED your poem was because you crafted, not one, not three, but five powerful, stand out lines that were full to the brim and dripping with vivid and evocative imagery. Any one of these lines individually would serve as the focal point and be worthy of building an entire poem around.
- I knew the life I'd had was done.
- I wanted more...forevermore!
- Their gentle, hungry titillation set my body free.
- "Enough" - a completely foreign concept.
- Those lips ensconce mine perfectly, their promises
always kept.
Powerful lines all. Truly outstanding work, Rachelle. I am not at all surprised to be VERY impressed with you and your work, but, "Only Your Kisses Will Do" pins the needle on on the amazing-ometer.
Thank you for writing and sharing your poem and your passion for writing (and kisses) with us.
Blessings...

Wow, what a real REALLY nice review. I appreciate it very much.
I hear what you're saying about the voting process. It does seem to be quite skewed these days.
Maybe I'd have had a better chance @ victory if you'd had some additional accounts on here.

I like you, Rachelle and I love-Love-LOVE your writing but the idea of setting up multiple accounts to rig the voting? That would be crossing the line, don't you think? Who would do such a thing, or even think of it... and for what purpose?
-
Someone without enough talent to win the right way.
-
...and someone who would subsequently mute me for congratulating her on every single "win" that's posted on her profile! Go figure!

A delightful poem, mystery poet. I feel the same about my husband of 47 years. Kisses are essential to a happy marriage. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,

Everything comes together with a fine touch in this poem. The picture is a perfect fit. Some of the words seldom used are a nice touch. I always loved kisses. Blessings, Barbara. Xo
