A sobering poem on humbleness, something that is in short supply these days. I liked the somber rhythm to it, and the image spoke of the downtrodden and poor in spirit, and our obligation to help them in the way Christ helped them. estory

God always has his arms extended to his children. Many just keep going along without a care in the world. He is constantly with us. Some people do not acquire compassion in their heart, and it shows. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent

Very nicely written, Roy. Compassion and empathy seem to be hard-wired characteristics neither particular to nation or creed.

The references to the monarchy may allude to the Queen, as well as a deluge anger absent empathy we see too much of these days.
